I am singing the song "Somewhere" as my audition song, I will acompanied by a piano. Any tips on auditioning?? any advice will be appreciated A TON!!!!! Hello Barbie. Congradulations and Good Luck! Practice is good of course but make sure you know what to practice in this song "Somewehere" and what it needs from you for a great delivery of the song. 1.Pay attention to breathing points. These are all of the places in a song where you are supposed to breathe. Once you know where all of the breathing points are in the song, practice it. This will help you be more consistent with your breathing and your ability to project your voice when you sing. 2. Listen to your favorite singers version of the song (ex. Barbara Striesand) and pay close attention to their DYNAMICS. This the use of FADING out your notes, CRESCENDOS (Swaying feel) and the use of VIBRATTO (vibration of the notes). If you can practice using these techniques in the song, practice it in the same places as the singer. 3.Practice putting FEELING in the song. You have to deliver the message of the song not just your ability to sing well. You can practice this by saying the lyrics first, then sing them the way YOU would SAY them.. 4 Follow JUST LOVELY'S advice 5..Do your breathing & stretching exercises before you audition. 6. THINK POSITIVE and go have a GREAT TIME !!
